Possible Thieves is Object Collection’s double-album length dive into massive ambient waters. The music was recorded live to two-track stereo without edits or overdubs and roams between wide-open vintage synths, dense thickets of buzzing 808 spasms, cathedral vocals, crushing distortion, and guitar-pedal driven woodwinds.
A rippling energy charges these dark instrumentals. A mix of sculpted synthesizers, on-the-spot improvisation, and heavy atmosphere.
The music here is all taken from Object Collection’s 2023 theatrical production of HOUSECONCERT – an homage to the long, beautiful, essential history of strange events in DIY home-spaces. Giving flowers to Jack Smith & Sam Rivers & Co.
